ENRICHMENT LECTURE STAFF Bonnie Gordon Eclipse '99 - Black Sea Voyage to Darkness aboard Royal Olympic's Stella Oceanis Bonnie Gordon, editor of Astronomy magazine, has worked in science journalism for 20 years, writing and editing in fields that have taken her from the depths of the oceans to the edges of the galaxy. Joining the Astronomy staff as editor in 1996, Mrs. Gordon has worked in science publishing since 1976, when she became a researcher at Smithsonian magazine. In 1979, she joined the staff of the AAAS magazine Science 80 as copy editor, becoming a commissioning editor one year later, and stayed on until the magazine was sold in 1986. She has also worked at Health, SELF, and as the editor and publisher of Sea Frontiers, an ocean science magazine. Ms. Gordon has written or edited three books, including Songs for Unsung Worlds, and contributed to several others, including several in the Time-Life astronomy series. Her work has appeared in many publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Washingtonian, Ms., and Psychology Today. |
